The engine itself runs locally at 127.0.0.1:3788 and needs no internet to process commands. However, actions like sending an email or searching the web naturally require your phone's normal internet connection — just like using those apps manually.
Your OAuth tokens are stored on your device by the Termux engine. No credentials or message content are sent to any Idan server — because there is no Idan server. The engine uses your token locally to call Google's own APIs on your behalf.
The engine install script and key components are open and readable on GitHub. You can inspect exactly what runs on your device before you install anything.
No. The engine registers itself as a service via termux-services and auto-restarts after crashes or phone reboots. Once set up, it runs quietly in the background.
Pro is in active development. Join the waitlist by emailing devtobi@idanai.com.ng and you'll be the first to know — and get an early-adopter rate.
Not yet. iPhone support is planned for when Apple opens more assistant controls to third-party apps. Android is the platform where local execution is currently possible.
Under the Sponsor tier we can build a version of Idan tailored entirely to your organisation — custom branding, private skill sets, additional connectors (internal APIs, CRMs, ticketing systems), and a dedicated engine configuration. Everything still runs on-device or on hardware you control. Reach out at devtobi@idanai.com.ng to discuss scope and pricing.
